Beyond Ghosts Canada
A little about Beyond Ghosts Canada....
Established in 2011 by two ghost investigators, BGC was formed to fill a void. While various groups and businesses offer brief ghost walks and "hunts" in southern Ontario, there was little for people who wanted a ghost investigation that lasted more than the guided walks that are widely available. Whether your style if towards using technology, or simpler tools and intuition, our events strive to offer limited size groups access to active locations for evening-long opportunities to investigate and interact, and not just "hunt" spirits.
Our personal search for better opportunities and to have more time at haunted locations led us to the group Beyond Ghosts in western New York. They have a great history of organizing full evening and even overnight ghost hunts and spiritual investigations. They also put back the funds from their investigations to the locations they investigate. The good folks at Beyond Ghosts were also very curious about all the stories of hauntings that they have heard about on the Canadian side. As a result, the sister organization Beyond Ghosts Canada was born.
Now down to one organizer, Bert Richards (left, at Antietam battlefield, Maryland), Beyond Ghosts Canada will aim to organize up to four events a year in the Niagara/Hamilton region of Ontario and elsewhere.
Bert is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, and is employed with the Canadian government. He has investigated a variety of sites from Lake Superior to Virginia, but has an affinity for War of 1812 locations and Civil War battlefields, especially Gettysburg and Antietam. He is an avid photographer, specializing in nature, aviation, and of course, ghosts. Bert is associate member of Motor City Ghost Hunters in Michigan. Bert has also spoken on the topic of long-exposure ghost photography at conferences in Ontario and Maryland.
